Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I have been meditating on some things lately and thought I would share some of this matter with the list. Hope it is a blessing for all who love the truth. I think you will find it very Biblically Basic. Amen.

The name JEHOVAH appears 6,000 times in the Hebrew manuscripts of the Old Testament. The name JEHOVAH means, literally, "The Self-Existing One", in other words the Eternal God who has always been God.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man did not exist prior to God's creating him in Gen 2:7. That is the beginning for the human race. It is also the beginning for the spiritual aspects of man that also dwell in the created vessle. It was not just a matter of God creating a human body, but God also created the soul of man as He provided a spirit for man all in the very same moment. The three aspects of man’s being were created together and none had an existence prior to that creation. Man is comprised of , body, soul, and spirit. All come into existence at the same moment in time. This is the Biblical example.

Adam was conceived and given life, but in a very different way than we have been. Still, all human beings have a beginning and no one has ever preexisted the day of this creation. In other words, there was no city in heaven filled with souls waiting to come to earth and take on human bodies (as some pagan religions assert.) Such a thing is merely a silly fable. We know that by trusting in what God has revealed in His Holy Bible. Life began for mankind in the moment the body of Adam was breathed upon by Almighty God.

In the moment of normal human conception, there is the creation of another soul, by the process God has ordained to take place in the womb of every human mother. It is not just the body of the baby that is created in the womb, it is the very soul, and the spirit as well, the entire being of the child. We are created in a moment, and unlike God, our lives must come to an end one day. However, God has always been and always will be.

Mormonism has prophesied for over one hundred years that "As man is, God once was, and as God is, man may become." and in so declaring they have raised up a false standard for all to see. None may ever become equal to God, for to become equal one would also have to have all the same attributes and in all the same qualities. He is the only One who has always been, and always will be. No man, who has had an earthly beginning, can ever become that.

The only perfect One to ever walk this earth is Jesus Christ. Because He was faithful to God and lived a perfectly sinnless life, God raised His mortal body from the grave the sinners of this world put Him in. If any man pleased God in this life, as Christ Himself has pleased God, that man would have ascended to heaven as Enoch, and Elijah have gone on before. Remember the testimony of Enoch?

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

If Joseph Smith was half the prophet of God he claimed to be, it seems that he would have pleased God, at least as much as Enoch did. The fact remains, Joseph Smith is still in the grave and his false writings are corrected by God's Holy Word continually in his absence.

Joseph Smith, and all the Mormon apostles that have died as he has, have proven that they did not make it to Godhood. If they had been worthy, they would not have died, nothing could have killed them. They would have been destined for a glorious ascension. If their works were not good enough in this life to elevate them to Godhood, there are no second chances after death for it is written: Heb 9:27 "It is appointed to man once to die and after that the judgment."

The vanity of the "big lie" of Satan, that man may become gods, first appears in the garden of Eden in the very beginning of man's history.

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

It is almost the same lie that Joseph Smith and his deceived apostles have promoted for all of their heretical history. But Smith has even compounded the error and has made the lie even more fantastic. His religion, Mormonism, instead claims "as God is, man may become." The Mormon fantasy actually declares, not just that man may become a "god", but that man may become "God". The Mormons have "one upped" Satan himself.

The true, Biblical, revelation of Jesus Christ shows Him teaching the doctrine that a true disciple is one who continues in the word of his Master.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

By the example given in the garden, Satan gives his servants his lie to promote in this world. This is the "word" of Satan and his true disciples, his servants in this world, "continue in his word." They continue serving their master by promoting his lies. Jesus said this:

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

To continue telling the lie of Satan, is to serve Satan, it is also to prove that you are a son of Satan, and a very disciple of Satan, "the father of lies."
